This time, we visited Sri Bestari International School, located in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur.
It is about a 30-minute drive from the city center of the capital, Kuala Lumpur, and is surrounded by a peaceful residential area with plenty of greenery. The school started as a local private school offering the Malaysian curriculum in 1995, and in 2017, it introduced the international school curriculum. By 2019, it officially became an international school.
The school is situated on a spacious 15-acre campus with extensive facilities, and is not far from residential areas like Desa Park and Mont Kiara, which are home to many expatriates. Popular malls such as The Curve and 1 Utama are also within a 15-minute drive. Additionally, the tuition fees are very affordable!
However, the school requires a certain level of English proficiency. As this may be a bit challenging for Japanese students, there tends to be a lower number of Japanese students at the school. Mandarin and Malay are also compulsory subjects.
In addition to academics, the school places a strong emphasis on sports and the arts, aiming for the overall development of its students. The well-equipped facilities are also a major attraction. The school boasts modern educational environments, including science laboratories, art studios, and music rooms, along with a library and a theater hall.
As for sports facilities, there are outdoor football fields, basketball courts, and a swimming pool. Additionally, the school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities (ECA) and co-curricular activities (CCA), providing students with many opportunities to expand their learning beyond the classroom.
This is an excerpt from the school's website.
